1. Who we are
AllahServants (allahservants.com) is run by AbodyStudio Limited, registered in — under number —, at —. AbodyStudio Limited is responsible for your personal data on the site (the "controller").
For any question about your personal data, write to support@abodystudio.com. Our representative in the European Union, if one is appointed: —.
2. Our approach
The site is free and has no advertisements. We do not use advertising or third-party trackers, we do not build profiles of you, and we never sell your data. You can read the Quran, listen to recitations and look up prayer times without an account. We collect only what the site needs to work and what you choose to save.
3. What we collect
When you visit
- Technical data that your browser sends with every visit, such as your IP address, your browser type and the pages you open. It is used to deliver the pages and to protect the site.
- The cookies and local storage described in the cookies policy.
- Your location, only if you allow it in your browser, to find your city for prayer times. We do not keep your exact position. If you save your city, only the city you chose is kept.
When you have an account
- Your name and email address.
- Your interface language and your preferences.
- What you save: bookmarks, notes, your reading plan and the questions you send.
- A list of your recent sign-ins (date, browser and IP address), so that you and we can spot unusual access.
- Your notifications on the site.
- The single-use sign-in links and codes we send you.
If you give
When donations are offered and you choose to give, you pay on the payment provider's own hosted page. Your card details go directly to the provider and never reach us. We receive only what we need to record the gift, such as the amount, the date and the result of the payment.
Team members
Owners, editors, teachers and moderators also sign in with a password, which is stored only in a protected (hashed) form, and a two-step code.
4. Why we use your data
- To provide the service you asked for (contract): your account and sign-in, saving your bookmarks, notes and plans, your preferences, your questions and their answers, and the emails needed for these.
- Legitimate interest: keeping the site and your account secure, preventing spam and abuse, fixing errors, and understanding the overall use of the site without identifying you.
- Consent: optional emails, and outside measurement tools if they are ever added. You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect what was done before.
- Legal obligation: when the law requires us to keep or disclose certain information, for example records of donations.
5. Who receives your data
We share data only with the providers that help us run the site, and only what each of them needs for its work:
- our hosting company, —, which stores the site and its data;
- our email sending provider, which delivers sign-in links and the emails you ask for;
- when donations are offered, the payment provider, which handles your payment on its own page and also follows its own privacy policy.
Our hosting and email providers act only on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. When you play a recitation, the audio may be streamed directly from mp3quran.net or EveryAyah.com, so your browser connects to their servers, which can see your IP address as any website does. They do not receive your account details. We never sell or rent your data. We disclose data to an authority only when the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Our providers may store or process data in countries other than yours. When this happens, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or a decision that the country protects data adequately, so that your data stays protected.
7. How long we keep your data
- Account data: as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, its data is deleted, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Sign-in links and codes: they expire after 15 minutes and are deleted later.
- Sign-in history: kept for a limited time, then deleted.
- Technical logs: kept for a limited time for security.
- Backups: replaced in rotation, so deleted data disappears from them after a short time.
- Our own visitor statistics, if switched on: kept for 13 months, with shortened IP addresses.
- Records of donations, if you give: kept as long as the law requires.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- access your data and receive a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong;
- have your data deleted;
- object to a use based on legitimate interest;
- ask us to restrict the use of your data, for example while a request is being checked;
- receive your data in a common format to take it elsewhere (portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time.
How to use your rights
- From Preferences: export all your data in one click, or delete your account.
- With the personal data request form.
- By email to support@abodystudio.com.
We answer within 10 days, free of charge. To protect you, we may ask you to prove that the email address is yours before we act.
If you think we have not respected your rights, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country. We would be grateful if you wrote to us first, so that we can try to help.
9. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections, sign-in links that work only once and expire after 15 minutes, a two-step sign-in for the team, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly safe. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities when the law requires it.
10. Children
The site is for everyone, including young people learning their faith, who can read and listen without an account. An account is for people who are old enough under the law of their country to consent to the use of their data, or who have the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has opened an account without this permission, write to support@abodystudio.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. We announce changes on the site, and the date of the last update is shown on this page.
